The Agri Food and Biosciences Institute, in conjunction with Queen’s University, Belfast, the Ulster Farmers Union and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs are pleased to announce that the George Scott Robertson Memorial Lecture 2017 will be held on 16th November 2017, in Riddel Hall, Queen's University Belfast, Stranmillis Road, Belfast.

The Curry Report “Farming and Food – A Sustainable Future” published in January, 2002, set out a clear direction for UK agri-food policy over the last fifteen years.  We are delighted that Lord Donald Curry has agreed to present the George Scott Robertson Memorial Lecture 2017 in which he will reflect on the original report and its recommendations.  The Lecture is entitled "The Future of Farming and Food - Fifteen Years on from the Curry Report".

Lord Curry will also outline his vision for the UK agri-food industry over the next decade and highlight potential opportunities for the Northern Ireland agri-food industry.
