AFBI Employment
  • Director of Sustainable Agri-Food Sciences Division
  • Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute, Northern Ireland
  • £68,961 - £79,058 per annum (pending approval)

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead the Sustainable Agri-Food Sciences Division in an internationally renowned scientific Institute.

Candidates for this position should be internationally recognised scientists with a strong track record of leading and managing collaborative research programmes and stakeholder networks, with the ability to project a clear and compelling vision of the role of science in creating a more profitable, sustainable and environmentally sensitive agri-food industry.

The Director of Sustainable Agri-Food Sciences Division will, along with the Directors of Veterinary Science Division and Finance and Corporate Affairs Division, be designated as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Executive Management Team, which is responsible for the corporate management of the organisation.

Applications are particularly welcomed from Roman Catholics and Females as these groups are currently under-represented within AFBI

Closing date: 12:00 noon (UK time) on Tuesday 7 March 2017.

AFBI is an Equal Opportunities Employer and all applications for this post will be considered on merit.
