Kildalton Students Visit AFBI

The Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) recently hosted final year agricultural students from Kildalton College, Teagasc's largest college, situated in Co Kilkenny.

The students visited the AFBI Hillsborough site for a tour of the research facilities.

During their visit, the students received an overview of the dairy, youngstock and nutrient management research underway at AFBI Hillsborough. The 55-strong group of predominantly dairy students, discussed pre-weaning calf nutrition, health monitoring in youngstock and alternative protein sources for dairy cow diets, amongst other areas, with AFBI PhD and early career scientists.
