Scoping study for research on the effects of climate change on fish and fisheries of Lough Neagh

This project aims to characterise the impacts of climate change on the fish ecology of Lough Neagh.

This will be achieved through investigation of the current abundances of key invertebrate prey species, consideration of bioenergetic modelling and the use of automatic high frequency environmental data to inform fisheries management.

The extent of the invasive zebra mussel (Dreissena polymorpha) in Lough Neagh will also be assessed.
