Date published: 15 November 2016

Areas of Expertise: Sustainable Livestock

The Agri Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) will be in attendance at the Pedigree Calf Fair (PCF) again this year to present results of the latest beef research at Hillsborough and to showcase the wide range of services they offer which are relevant to the beef industry. The event will take place at the King’s Hall on Saturday 19 November and is a ‘must attend’ event for anyone with an interest in pedigree beef cattle.

AFBI researchers from Veterinary Science Division will be on hand to discuss the AFBI Cattle Health Scheme (CHS), in addition to providing advice on improving biosecurity around the farm.  Staff from the Hillsborough Feeding Information System (HFIS) will be available to discuss the importance of silage analysis this autumn as an essential component of winter feed planning.
