AFBI's specialist facilities include respiration calorimeter chambers for cattle, sheep and pigs as well as dairy cow and sheep digestibility units.
Our research activities are to understand the mechanisms underpinning the efficient conversion of nutrients to quality animal products with objectives to improve animal production efficiency and to reduce environmental footprint (enteric methane emission and manure nitrogen excretion) of cattle and sheep production.
