Farmers looking to get more from their grassland this spring can benefit from a new March webinar series offering timely, research-led advice on improving grass utilisation, boosting fertiliser efficiency and supporting animal performance.
The free three-part series, Grassland Insight: From Soil to Sward, will take place on Wednesday 11 and 18 March (8-9pm) and 25 March (7-8pm), bringing together industry specialists, advisers and farmers to focus on improving grassland performance and farm profitability.
Webinar 1: How to make grassland deliver for you?
This webinar explored practical ways to make grassland deliver more consistently across the season. The session addressed how to manage growth variability and seasonality through agile grassland management and targeted species mixes. It also looked at reducing grassland costs by using legumes and more diverse swards, and how to adopt a whole-farm approach, making sure each field has the sward best suited to its soil and conditions.
