Biography

Graham originally studied behavioural and conservation Ecology, he joined AFBI in 2007 as a livestock welfare and production scientist working in dairy, beef, pig and poultry systems.  Later he worked on greenhouse gas emissions from cattle in order to advise on updating emissions factors for Northern Ireland as well as potential efficiency measures for farms.  He later joined the Economics Research Branch moving into agri-environmental research where his interest lie in ecosystem service provision and the benefits of landscape scale nature based solutions.  Graham currently works on projects within AFBI’s Environmental Economics group including research on agri-environment schemes, water quality, landscapes, biodiversity and woodlands.
