  • With the mild weather in October to date, growth has continued close to the seasonal average. Growth rate will continue to decline as autumn progresses.
  • Ground conditions continue to deteriorate.  Try to minimise damage to the sward. Reduce stocking density, and graze cows for a few hours each day. Bring cows in once they have eaten their fill. Use a back fence to avoid tramping previously grazed ground.
  • This is the last GrassCheck bulletin for the season. Reports will recommence next spring.
