AFBI (and QUB) has a history of providing scientific support to the Falkland Islands and adjacent regions. This has largely been through supervision of research students and direct involvement in scientific advice and research by appropriately skilled and experienced AFBI staff. Much of this work has been carried out under the auspices of the United Kingdom Falkland Islands Trust (
www.ukfit.org).
The main areas of work have been in pasture agronomy, aquaculture, horticulture and forestry. Most of this work is published in appropriate scientific journals or in reports listed in the scientific database below and available in full on the
UKFIT website. Some key joint publications are highlighted.
