Development work during 2006 resulted in the launch of the North of Ireland Joint Agency Coastal Monitoring Programme (NIJACMP) automated reporting system.
This development allows for the semi-automated processing and summarisation of all remote instrument data to be performed by an Excel macro linking into the data-base within AFBI. Data are uploaded by NIJACMP staff, to a networked database, on a weekly basis. When all instruments have reported in, the report is run, quickly reviewed for gross errors and is then distributed electronically in Portable Document Format (PDF). These files are approximately 2 MB in size.
