The Chemical Surveillance Branch:

• is a centre of excellence in testing for veterinary drug resides
• has a wide range of screening and confirmatory tests for drug residues
• has a wide range of tests for marine biotoxins
• has GLP, ISO 17025:2005 and ISO 9001:2000 accreditation
• has provided training and advice in Belfast and around the world
• has co-ordinated and participated widely in EU-funded Research and Development programmes

The Chemical Surveillance Branch can:

• carry out analyses for veterinary drug residues under ISO17025 accreditation
• produce monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies
• perform pharmacokinetic studies under ISO17025 and GLP accreditation
• carry out analyses for marine biotoxins under ISO17025 accreditation
• act as a world-class research partner in any of the above areas.
• provide advice on residues surveillance plans and laboratory performance
• provide training on drug residue analysis
