Objectives
Research on food processing underpins the production of higher quality, greater innovation and increased
efficiency within the food processing sector. It provides the foundations for improved food quality,
in particular relating to improvements in the consistency of food raw materials to increase final product
quality. Research is also investigating food processing methodologies which provide opportunities for
Northern Ireland industry in niche markets
