Objectives
Research aims to provide a scientific basis for the rational conservation and management of commercial
sea fisheries resources and understanding of their relationships to the environment. Research also underpins
the management of Northern Ireland's game and coarse fisheries and coastal zone resources with particular
reference to sea loughs and the marine nature reserve of Strangford Lough.
