Economics of agri-environment interactions

Project objective

To provide ex-ante and ex-post policy evaluation/analysis of CAP Second Pillar policy initiatives in Northern Ireland, particularly of an agri-environmental/rural development nature.  Macro-analysis is derived from an input-output modelling framework which focuses on the agri-food industry and includes agri-environmental linkages. Micro analysis is based on bio-economic representative farm models that simulate business strategies on livestock farms.
