AFBI recently acquired the research
vessel "Corystes".
The Research Vessel (RV) Corystes enables AFBI scientists to broaden the scope of their research and monitoring programmes in the Irish Sea and surrounding waters.
AFBI undertakes marine fisheries and environmental research and monitoring in the Irish Sea and adjacent sea areas to acquire scientific information to support the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development's (DARD) statutory and policy responsibilities for fisheries, marine environmental management and aquaculture.
"Corystes" is available for chartering for a range of fisheries and oceanographic work. For details contact AFBI at
