Stephen Dolan joined the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) Trainee Accountant scheme in 1988, after eight years working in the NI Science Service in a variety of posts covering statutory and research and development work.
After qualifying as an accountant Stephen worked for three years in the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) Rivers Agency before joining Capita Management Consultants as a Principal Consultant in 1994.
For the next four years Stephen led a variety of projects for Capita including, market testing, Organisational Review, PFI, Resource Accounting implementation and Efficiency Reviews across the Northern Ireland Public Sector.
In 1998 Stephen moved to First Consulting Group (FCG) a fast growing US based Healthcare consultancy with responsibility for business process re-engineering, IT implementation and training on projects in Ireland, Pittsburgh and New York.
After two years with FCG Stephen rejoined the NICS as Head of Finance in the Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP) Construction Service before moving to DFP Business Development Service as Project Manager of the Broadband Aggregation Project NI. Stephen joined AFBI in March 2006 as Head of Business Support.
