Mr. Joel Ferguson is currently acting Head of Corporate Services Division. Prior to taking up this temporary position he had been Head of AFBI Innovations, AFBI's commercialisation unit.
Mr Ferguson was previously manager of Consultancy Services at the University of Ulster where he also managed the commercialisation of a portfolio of technologies from research, through proof of concept and onto commercial exploitation.
Prior to joining the University of Ulster, Mr Ferguson was General Manager and Assistant Director at the QUESTOR Centre at Queen’s University. QUESTOR is an environmental research cooperative based on the US National Science Foundation model for industry-university cooperation. QUESTOR is a financially self-sustaining provider of environmental R&D to member companies in the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US. Mr. Ferguson was co-founder and Technical Director of QUESTOR’s commercial spin-out, established to commercialise QUESTOR’s Intellectual Property.
