AFBI’s Veterinary Sciences Division (VSD) is a globally recognised centre of excellence for work on animal disease and food safety. VSD delivers world class veterinary science to the animal, food and fish based sectors of the agri-food industry. The division is an OIE1 reference Laboratory for the diagnosis of leptospiral infections and an EU national reference laboratory for many classes of veterinary drug residue. Much of the work at VSD is externally accredited to ISO2 or Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
